The protagonists of this painting are two squirrels in love. One takes care of the other, symbolically the squirrel that emerges from the trunk is giving an acorn to his partner, who observes him happy and curious as he descends from the tree with some leaves. In the background of the beautiful colored mountains below which there is a large lake as blue as the clear sky. Green pine trees surround the scene with their beauty.
