To make this work I chose some points where the painting is in relief to give a sense of depth to the sea and proximity to the palm trees and the low wall. I created the "canvas" entirely starting from only paper and cardboard that a once assembled I painted with acrylic colors. The scene is set in Alassio, an Italian town in the province of Savona in Liguria. In the foreground, the very famous "Muretto di Alassio", is a wall on which numerous ceramic tiles have been affixed over time which I have represented with various colours, each one different from the other and in relief to enhance their protrusion from the wall and feel them closer to the observer, moreover the folds of the paper as a base create movements that give the effect of the wall. As for the background there is the fantastic blue sea of Alassio with the reflections of the sun crossing it and the tall green palm trees in relief to enhance their movement which creates different lights among the leaves. Some hedges emerge from behind the low wall and the sky is clear and serene.
