In this painting I was inspired by the colors of Mexico. Yellow and red as the colors of the dresses I saw wearing Mexican folk dance women, on one of the main streets of Playa Del Carmen. Blue like the sea and the sky always clear. Green and brown like the tall palm trees that surrounded me during the making. I chose to portray this lion because his gaze is very intense and remains imprinted on you, like Mexico that remains in your heart, leaving you with energy, happiness, strength and positivity. 
This painting was created during an exhibition and live painting in Playa Del Carmen while I was living in Mexico. At the top left is the inscription “Special Mexico Edition” and at the bottom right the full signature.
