This painting was stolen in Ibiza where it was exhibited, (summer 2022) currently not found.
This painting is a portrait of some water lilies in a stream, and a jacana bird as the protagonist. The water lilies are green with white light reflections, among them there are some water lilies, some closed because they open in the morning and fade in the evening, in fact the moment they are portrayed is in the afternoon. The pink of the water reflects the color of the sky which starts to turn red. A Jacana, a typical African animal, walks among the water lilies with one paw on a water lily. I decided to prepare the canvas before painting it, with a modeling paste to give it a rough effect with some relief and shadows. This painting was created in Mexico, during the time I lived in Playa Del Carmen.
