The protagonist of this painting is Homer Simpson, from the American cartoon The Simpsons. He is represented while biting his greedy donut covered in pink icing and colored sugar. Homer is on one of the many small bridges that cross the various alleys of Venice, and while he is enjoying his dessert he observes the landscape that surrounds him with admiration. I chose to set the painting in Venice because I imagined this unique city like a cartoon by taking Homer to visit it. In the background the long blue/green canal that crosses the two banks, and then you can see the details of the windows and doors.
