The protagonist of this painting is a splendid lion portrayed in profile. Watch alertly for someone or something to the left but away from him. Show off all its beauty with the thick green mane. He is surrounded by forest plants that reflect their color on him, making him blend in perfectly with the environment. I painted the mane of the protagonist using the pads of my fingers creating shades of different colors. I also used metallic colors to give brighter reflections, as if the light passed through the painting and the forest, hitting only some precise points of the scene.
