The protagonists of this painting are splendid vintage sailing boats dating back to the beginning of the 1900s and typical of the Romagna coast in Italy. I had seen them during one of my trips to Cesenatico while walking along the Porto Canale Leonardo Da Vinci. I was fascinated by the colors of the sails and their grandeur. I decided to take a picture right away to capture that bright and beautiful image I had seen. As soon as I returned from the trip I decided to create a portrait of that photo but as for the small boats in the foreground on the right, I was inspired by Venice. Then I decided to make the canal space wider so that I could add other boats in the background as well. The sky has some white clouds and the sun illuminates the scene. The clear sea reflects the colors of the sailboats and the sky.
